About the Royal Twirling Association
A new era for baton twirling and majorette competitions in the United Kingdom
Our Story
The Royal Twirling Association was founded in February 2026 by Liam Crooks, a passionate leader with a clear vision: to create a competition environment that truly celebrates the artistry, athleticism, and dedication of every baton twirler and majorette.
Drawing on years of experience in the twirling community, Liam recognised the need for a fresh approach, one that prioritises fairness, transparency, and professionalism while maintaining the joy and excitement that makes our sport special.
From our very first competition in June 2026, which sold out with 12 teams and over 200 dancers, we've set a new standard for the UK twirling community. Our commitment to clear rules, experienced judging, and modern technology has resonated with troupes, dancers, and families across the country.
