Dance Team
Team dance routines showcasing technique, choreography and performance without props.
About Dance Team
Dance Team is a pure dance discipline where teams perform choreographed routines without batons or pom-poms. It emphasises dance technique, group synchronisation, musicality, and creative storytelling. Dance Team gives teams a format to showcase pure movement ability alongside their prop-based routines.
History & Background
Dance Team routines grew naturally out of majorette and twirling culture as teams began incorporating stronger dance training into their practice. Offering a prop-free category recognises that modern twirling athletes are complete performers with genuine dance ability.
